What the site does

The site works out the grant for buying or leasing a new electric car under the German funding guideline of 19 May 2026, the price after the grant for individual models, the GHG quota payout and vehicle tax under the Vehicle Tax Act. It is not a service of the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA), a ministry or any other authority, not a car dealer, not a GHG quota provider and not tax or legal advice. Only BAFA decides on the grant, through its grant decision. Methods: how we calculate.

Liability

Values are checked after every change to the guideline, the laws and the official statistics and are tested automatically before each release; we cannot guarantee that they are free of errors. Linked third-party sites are the responsibility of their operators. Please report errors via the contact page.
